What's New?
We had a great time playing at the 36th Father's Day Festival in Grass Valley this summer! Thanks so much to all of the hard working CBA folks who made it all run so smoothly! Our friend Richard Brandenburg took a video of us up on the big stage! Thanks, Richard!
Our new CD is here!! "Nightbird" has 14 tracks which we recorded with a single mic and the help of our pal Dave Nielsen of Rancho Armadillo Audio Services in Santa Cruz. We have already gotten some great feedback on it and also quite a bit of airplay! Shoot us an email and we will be happy to get you your very own copy! We also still have a few copies of our first CD, "Dirty Water". Still selling them regularly at Phil's Fish Market alongside the new one!
We have been having a great time playing our regular
gigs at Phil's Fish Market and Sam's BBQ. We are pleased that
the regular crowd at Sam's has gotten quite a bit bigger over
the last few years ! Thanks to all our buddies from over the hill
who come to see us!
Sam of Sam's BBQ was kind enough to take a video of us playing 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, which he put on Youtube. Check it out.....thanks, Sam!! Sam also included us in his spot on a local tv show. Take a peek....
Did you hear the big news? Billy was crowned 2011 Best Male Vocalist at the Northern California Bluegrass Award show in Redwood City for the 3rd year in a row! Go, Billy!! This year, our own Peter Hicks won the Best Fiddler and Best Mandolin player! Our band was in the running for best band of the year, but were beat out by the very talented youngsters, The Tuttles with AJ Lee. Hard to beat the youth! Congrats to them and all the hard work that got them there, not to mention their leader(and dad), Jack Tuttle!
We have some more videos on Youtube! They were taken at the 2008 Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival by Nancy Zuniga. She actually put many on there of the great acts we were all lucky to see at the festival. Billy rocks on Will You Be Lonesome and belts it out with feeling on Faded Rose. Let us know what you think!! Much appreciation to Nancy for documenting so much of the festival !!
We had a great time at the 2009 Parkfield Bluegrass Festival over Mother's Day weekend!! Thanks so much to Ed and all of those involved with Bluegrass Music Association of the Central Coast. They did a fine job at putting on the festival. If you missed it, put it on the calendar now, for next year!!
The 2009 Father's Day Festival was a ton of fun. We were thrilled to have a spot on the Vern's Stage. Thanks again to Nancy Zuniga for catching some of the songs on video. Check out "Can You Hear Me Now" on Youtube.

Where can you see
us?
Well, we play at Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing every
1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Phil's is a great place to
hear music and get a mighty fine fish dinner.
